Becoming a Member

The Mamanuca Environment Society (MES) invites and welcomes membership from businesses, organisation and individuals who have an interest in the Mamanuca region. To become a member of MES:

• send a letter to MES at P.O. Box 10125, Nadi Airport;
• email society@mesfiji.org; or
• phone us on (679) 672 0448

and we will discuss the benefits and the support your membership would lend to the Society’s objectives.

MES has different membership classifications including Full Membership for Hotels and Resorts; Associate Membership for Associated Commercial Operators; Sponsor Membership for Corporate Sponsors and Individual Support Membership for all Individuals interested in lending Support to the objectives of the Society.

As many as 100 million sharks are killed each year for their meat and fins, which are used for shark fin soup. Hunters typically catch the sharks, de-fin them while alive and throw them back into the ocean where they either drown or bleed to death.
