Refresher Courses.

MES has begun its visits to resorts to conduct training on Best Practice techniques for Water Sports Activities and Snorkelling Guidelines. From May to the first week of July training was done at Wadigi. Mana, Malolo, Likuliku, Matamanoa and Navini Island resorts and for the staff of South Sea Cruises. At its conclusion, participants gained a wealth of knowledge on marine environmental issues, preventative measures against further degradation, and also measures for the protection and preservation of our valuable marine resources.

Fact of the Day

Shrimp farming, too, is highly destructive. It causes chemical and fertilizer pollution of water and has been largely responsible for the destruction of nearly a quarter of the world’s mangroves.
