Waste Management Project
Every year, the amount of material being taken to outer islands or to homes in our coastal region continues to increase. In past Dive In To Earth Week, and from general surveys done on some of the reefs and beaches, the amount of refuse collected or sighted continues to pile up.
The WMP aims at addressing this major issue through greater awareness on best measures to counter this problem for village households and resort and tour operators. MES is currently working on this project with companies like Coca Cola Fiji Ltd, Waste Recyclers Fiji Ltd and Waste Management Fiji Ltd.
